Revolutions, Corporations, and My BIG THINGS

- Resolutions Are For Chumps. I Choose Revolution. | the middle finger project
All the things you think you need in 2011, you don't. You do not need more determination. You do not need more discipline. And you certainly do not need diligence. - What Makes You Cry Tears of Joy? Do that.
In the next two weeks, many of us will be reflecting both privately and publicly on the year past and the year to come. We may share stories with family and friends over the holiday. We may look back at the succeses and failure of 2010.
It's Year 2011 And...
We're in the month of resolutions; cutting back weight, hopping on the diet wagon, making goals for success, and the market is skyrocketing off the 'Starting Anew' theme. As the month slows to the end, most people have moved comfortably back into the old skins of usual habits and day-to-day living.
For me, it's a month of my own personal revolution. Scratch that! It's a year of my own personal revolution -- and it will be yours, too ! That's not a typo. I'm not talking resolutions , I'm definitely talking about revolution . Actually, most of my heroes are talking about revolutions these days. They're talking about passion and doing what you love, of all things! Crazy-making, right? In this economy, really? They've made a name for themselves and they're incredibly aware how important assets are. The biggest asset I want to talk about right now is ourselves.
Is This You, Too?
The words that resonate with me when I write are these:
Dynamic. Life-changing. Transparency. Kick-ass. Self-Responsibility. Possibilities. Knowledge. Intelligence. Love. Passion. And Fear.
You see, in the big world of hooping, there's hula hooping to the music in your head. Yeah, that wild spinning, giggling, hip-gyrating hoop of possibilities. And then, there's jumping through hoops to ominous music of the failing economy. Scary, right?
So, here are my biggest things in regards to taking my passion to another level and making a name for myself.
- Self-esteem in regards to hearing impairment.
- Letting disability get in the way of living and success.
- Feeling inadequate.
- A huge disadvantage to going from 0 to wealth in this economy.
- Technological dependency for my cochlear implant is expensive.
Examining my Sovereignty, Creating my Empire
Havi Brooks describe sovereignty this way:
Sovereignty, as best I understand it (and I am not the expert on this even slightly) is the quality of owning your space so completely and fully that you can’t be shaken from being you.
That means actually owning your issues, your mistakes, your failures, your successes, your amazingness, yourself. We are living in a time of total entitlement and total disownership. It's a big discrepancy. It's kind of like saying, "We deserve this, but we're not going to do anything about it because we're not good enough." We make excuses, like a traumatic past, for why we don't do things or do things a certain way.
My passion is writing and connecting and mindblowing. That's always been my deal. I love digging at paradigms and aligning them to me in epiphanies that blows minds. This includes parenting, education, living, employment, jobs. We are constantly bombarded by our culture to exist within a particular paradigm rather than allowing our paradigms to shift in alignment of what's right for us. A result of that is the mentality I described above. That result is exactly what corporations and government wants.
Taking life into my own hands in order to succeed means -
- I'm taking responsibility for myself.
- I forego risks of not living in accordance to my passion.
- I invest in my own creativity and intelligence.
- I believe in the fact that increasing intelligence is possible.
- I open myself to failures and embracing fears in order to succeed.
In short, I become my own empire. I become what I call Sovereignty Empire.
Are You Ready?
So, here's my challenge to you all. Join me and take over the world!
BWAHAHAHA.
No, really. My definition of sovereignty empire says that you can. If not the entire world, at least take over your own world! Your empire is you and everything you control personally.

Well, well, well – look at TMFproject blowin’ it up with blog posts on the daily. Don’t get used to it. At some point I will absolutely go back to 2-3 posts/week – probably once I get skinny again and being outside in a bathing suit is actually FUN. Ahem. (Wait, will I [...] - 14 hours ago

I like lists. Don’t you like lists? I mean, who doesn’t need a good list in their lives? That said, in the name of honoring their holier-than-thou nature, today is officially list day on TMFproject. Dun dun dun DUN! Sound the alarm! Cue the horns! Signal the ponies! There’s really just one problem [...] - 40 hours ago

So I’m not sure what you did yesterday, but I, for one, witnessed somebody drown. You’re probably thinking I’m joking, because who mentions something like drowning so nonchalantly? But I am not, unfortunately, joking. And while I’m calm now, yesterday I was anything but. It was sunset, and I was with my Costa Rican [...] - 2 days ago
